In Issue 677, we are happy to share that construction on Main Street has been completed until autumn so that summer can properly commence in the heritage village and judging from the record number of headlines in this edition it couldn’t have happened at a more appropriate time!

In Issue 672, we acknowledge that the first long weekend of 2022 has come and gone and Bayfield and area were thankfully spared from the violent weather system that passed over a large swath of the province on Saturday. Our thoughts are with those affected and still recovering from the storm.
In Issue 671, the first long weekend of 2022 is upon us which means the Rubber Ducks will create a big splash in the Bayfield River on Sunday afternoon. Tickets for this event are sold out but everyone is invited to come cheer on their favorite quacker after they’ve fueled up at the Bayfield Lions Club’s Community Breakfast…and in our photo story, we sample a few choice beverages and food at the sixth Bayfield Beer, Wine and Food Festival. In Issue 670, we acknowledge that spring has finally arrived bringing with it some seasonal favorites like the Bayfield Beer, Wine and Food Festival, the Lions Community Breakfast and the Hike for Hospice…and in our photo story, we take one last jaunt out to sea with intrepid travellers Justyne and Wally.

In Issue 668, we recognize that it is National Volunteer Week. We think it is fair to say there are probably few communities with more volunteers per capita than Bayfield - in fact if you are reading this you are probably a community volunteer (in Bayfield or elsewhere) so take a moment and celebrate you and the good that you do for the benefit of all in this village and surrounds!
